Checkride Description and Information
FAA-authorized Commercial Pilot practical exams (checkrides) for applicants completing their Part 61 training. The checkride is administered by a certified FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and includes both an oral exam and a flight evaluation based on the current FAA Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (ACS).

Checkrides are available 7 days a week, with 7am and noon slots available
Prior scheduling is required—expedited scheduling available at extra charge
Rescheduling due to weather or maintenance is accommodated at no extra charge.

Current 2nd Class Medical
FAA Knowledge Test (written) passed
Completed logbook endorsements
Aircraft maintenance records and airworthiness documents
Government-issued photo ID

Eligibility Verification and Checkride Scheduling Steps
Please make sure you are prepared with ALL required documentation on the day of your practical test. Here are links to the ACS and the FARs for your reference. We suggest you review your documentation with your flight instructor before scheduling the test. If you do not arrive on the day of the test with all required documentation the test cannot proceed. Please also verify that your 8710-1 has been signed off by your instructor in IACRA.

Checkrides are held at Destin Executive Airport (DTS) if you cannot come to Destin you MUST contact us to make arrangments prior to scheduling at dpe@anthonyaviationllc.com as we must make travel arrangements for your checkride. There will be an additional travel fee above and beyond the normal checkride fee

Your selected time slot is TENTATIVE until you receive an email from the DPE confirming your appointment and is contingent upon payment of the Administrative Scheduling Fee.
Please note that checkride scheduling typically requires 2–3 weeks of lead time, so paying the validation fee promptly will help ensure the earliest available date. Expedited scheduling is available based on DPE availability and is subject to a $500 fee.
