Operational Disclaimer
Operational factors beyond the control of the examiner may affect the scheduling, duration, or completion of FAA practical tests. These factors may include weather conditions, air traffic control delays, airport congestion, aircraft maintenance issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Applicants are expected to plan accordingly and ensure flexibility on the day of the practical test. Delays, discontinuations, or rescheduling may occur in accordance with FAA policy. All practical tests are conducted strictly in compliance with FAA regulations, guidance, and safety considerations.

Eligibility and Scheduling Fee
Eligibility and Scheduling Fee: $500
Please Note: This fee is non-refundable once Eligibility Review has been completed

Practical Test Fees
Private Pilot – Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL): $1,000
Private Pilot – Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL): $1250
Instrument Rating – Airplane: $1000
Commercial Pilot – Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL): $1,000
Commercial Pilot – Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL): $1,250

Add-On Ratings
Private or Commercial Add-On (ASEL or AMEL): $500
Instrument Add-On: $550

Re-Tests / Continuations
Re-Test (within 60 days of Notice of Disapproval): 50% of the exam fee
• Covers only the unsatisfactory areas identified
Discontinued Practical Test:
• Same-Day Continuation: No additional charge
• Rescheduled Continuation: 50% of the exam fee

Administrative Fees and Cancellation Penalties
Same-Day Cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice): $500
No-Show: Full practical test fee due
Priority / Expedited Scheduling (subject to availability): $250
Travel Fee: Will be determined by the DPE and based on where the checkride is to take place. Travel fee is waived for tests at the DPE’s home airport.

Payment Policy
Payment is due prior to the start of the practical test.
Accepted forms of payment include cash or approved electronic payment methods (Zelle, PayPal, Venmo).

Applicant Responsibilities
Applicants must arrive on time and fully prepared with:
• Completed IACRA application
• Valid government-issued photo identification
• Required endorsements and logbooks
• An airworthy and properly equipped aircraft
Failure to meet FAA requirements may result in discontinuation or termination of the practical test.
